Yateley Common Country Park
This Country Park consists of 476 acres of heathland, woods, grassland and ponds. Much of the Common is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) because of its importance for wildlife.
Heathland supports a large number of rare and beautiful species and the site is carefully managed in order to conserve and restore this important habitat.
The site is open access and managed by Hampshire County Council Rangers.
Available on Wyndham’s Pool, a small, but very picturesque lake. In the summer months half the lake is covered with lily pads and reeds line the bank in some areas. The lake has an average depth of 4-5ft and is free from weed. It contains a large head of mid-double carp with a small number of twenty's up to 28lb. Most other species are present in the lake. Surface fishing makes for some excellent sport.
Close season 16 March to 15 June applies.
